Communications Satellite Corporation
- (COMSAT)A U.S. company created by an act of Congress in 1962 to provide communications via satellites. COMSAT leases satellite circuits to many U.S. companies and is active in international communications through partial ownership in the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (INTELSAT) and the International Maritime Satellite Organization (INMARSAT).
